THE WEALTH STORY OF YUSUF SAVMAZ

      Transcript of the video

Hello, my name is Yusuf Savmaz. I am responsible for domestic clients at BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Switzerland. I head up three teams in Geneva, Lugano and Zurich.

Switzerland is one of the largest international financial hubs for Wealth Management, with around 3 trillion euros of assets under management according to the BCG Global Wealth Report twenty twenty three.

Moreover, this market is growing every year due to very wealthy families moving to Switzerland, and entrepreneurs creating wealth.

For over 150 years, BNP Paribas in Switzerland has been providing tailor-made investment and financing solutions to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, wealthy families and entrepreneurs, in addition to corporate and investment banking solutions to corporate clients in Switzerland.

I would like to tell you a story which illustrates how our clients benefit from our “One Bank” approach and the Group’s financial solidity.

This wealth story is about a family office, who was representing the interests of the Palmer family, renamed for anonymity reasons.

      What were the client’s expectations?

The Palmer family had sophisticated needs and were looking for a strong financial partner with expertise in three main areas.

      -         Firstly, tailor-made financing solutions and credit structuring expertise from a well-capitalised European institution.

      -         Secondly, complex investment solutions through a recognised Wealth Manager.

      -         And thirdly, business needs that only a large international group can provide.=

They were also interested in networking opportunities and had heard of BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s “NextGen” programme for young people that comprises educational seminars and cultural visits.

How did you meet their needs?

To earn the trust of the Palmers, we mobilised various expertise, first within Wealth Management, and then across the BNP Paribas Group. Our capacity to do this through one single entry point was a game changer for developing our business relationship with the Palmers.

So what did we offer in practical terms?

Firstly, we structured a Lombard credit loan to meet the family’s financing needs within a tight deadline.

Secondly, we offered a tailor-made discretionary portfolio mandate based on the family’s risk preference. In addition, we structured a complex transaction for them, demonstrating once again our deep knowledge of the financial markets.

I am delighted to say that our smooth collaboration with Corporate and Institutional Banking resulted in the Palmers choosing BNP Paribas Wealth Management as a new financial partner, and investing more than 100 million Swiss francs with the bank.

In conclusion, the Group’s “One Bank” model and ability to deliver timely, tailor-made solutions were the two cornerstones of this success story.

If you are based in Switzerland or have an investment or financial project, my team of senior bankers and I would be delighted to meet you and hear your story. Please visit our website to find out more.

      Goodbye.
